Why Regenerative Meat?
Why Regenerative Meat?
Modern methods of meat production have done staggering amounts of damage our planet and ourselves.
What's lost is why
Ruminant animals are not designed to eat large amounts of grain. This undigested, high energy and high protein diet damages their delicate gut systems. This causes great stress in the animal. It makes them put on an unhealthy fat that is bad for them and bad for those who eat it.
Slow reared, happy livestock grown on diverse pasture, rich in the nutrients and minerals they need develop entirely differently. They have high levels of healthy and balanced omegas and minerals. Proper regeneratively farmed meat is one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet.
Regenerative farming is better for our livestock and better for us.
Ruminant animals have been around for 50 million years.
Our plant species have adapted to live alongside these ruminants. even using them to repair and renew themselves.
We can repair the land through mimicking the behaviour of these animals if in a natural environment.
In rotating our animals on deep rooted healthy pastures we can absorb vast amounts of carbon from the atmosphere.
99% of all carbon is locked in the ground. Where it should stay.
By increasing our soil organic carbon we can slow down and potentially even reverse climate change.
