Drunken Burt is a soft, washed rind cheese from Cheshire, made from cow's milk and gently washed in cider as it matures. It has a thin, rind and a rich, creamy interior with occasional natural blue veining. Young Drunk Burt offers fresh apple like notes with a slight chalkiness, developing into a silky mellow cheese with subtle flavours of fruit.
