For the meatballs

500 g Grass Fed Beef Mince
500 g Proper Pork Mince
½ White Onion Diced
½ Tsp Salt
¾ Tsp Allspice
¾ Tsp Black Pepper
1 Tsp Dried Oregano
20g Chopped Fresh Mint
100 g Breadcrumbs
50 ml Red Wine

For the Sauce

½ White Onion
800 g Chopped Tomatoes
150 ML Red Wine
150 g Feta Cheese
50 g Chopped Parsley
½ Tspn Cinnamon

Instructions

Start by mix adding your meatball ingredients into a bowl and mixing well
Shape you meatballs into oblong shaped balls with slightly flat edges on 2 opposite sides
Preheat a frying pan over a medium high with a little olive oil and add your meatballs colour well on both of the flatter sides and remove. They don’t need to be fully cooked.
Now start on the sauce. Add your diced onions and slowly sweat down before adding the cinnamon and coating.
Pour over the red wine and cook out the alcohol before adding the tomatoes. Slowly cook for 10 minutes till well combined.
Add your meatballs to the dish and top with crumbled feta
Place in a 180C oven for 15 minutes before removing and topping with the parsley.
