Grass Fed Lamb Slow Cook FAQ's

Lamb shoulder, lamb neck and rolled lamb breast are some of the cuts popular for slow cooking. Their higher fat contents and more connective tissues, make them perfect for the low and slow cooking method.

The perfect time to slow cook lamb will depend on the cut and the weight of it. Generally, for a tender and juicy, medium-rare roast we recommend slow cooking your cut of choice for 2 to 2 and a half hours.

Rosemary, thyme and mint are some great seasoning choices to compliment the earthy taste of grass-fed lamb. Oregano, sage and basil are also splendid options if you want to add a hint of extra flavour without overpowering the natural rich flavour of the meat. For some extra kick you can add a couple cloves of garlic or some mustard. Anchovies and lamb are an amazing combination as well!
