Grass Fed Beef Slow Cook FAQ's

Our grass-fed diced beef is particularly suitable for slow cooking. However, all of the cuts in our slow cook selection will cook beautifully. The main quality to look for when choosing meat to cook in a slow cooker is marbling between the muscles.

This depends on the cooking temperature and the cut of meat you’re cooking. If you’re using our Diced Grass Fed Beef, for example, we would recommend cooking for 3 hours at 170°C. For bigger cuts such as our Rolled Beef Brisket, we suggest 4 to 5 hours in the oven at 170°C.

There are a few important factors to getting the most tender slow cooked beef. Make sure the cut you choose is suitable for low and slow cooking and don’t boil it, just simmer. Boiling makes the muscle fibres contract ringing out the meat! The second secret to juicy beef is letting it warm up. We recommend letting your meat get to room temperature before cooking it in a preheated oven.
