Our eatTelfit proper pigs live proper, happy lives in which they are able to engage fully in their natural instincts and are managed in a way that prevents the major damage that can be done in normal free ranging systems.
Our pigs are free to range, dig, wallow and wander particularly in the summer months which ensures the ground is in excellent condition come the spring for them to go out again. We at Telfit bring our pigs inside to well bedded, warm barns in the winter to prevent damage but they also seem to appreciate this!
Some of our producers utilise pigs to clear and regenerate woods which benefits both the pig and the environment. All this results in superb flavoursome sustainable pork as natural as you can get.
